When I escaped my abusive marriage, I had no idea how I was going to rebuild. The practical needs were overwhelming—where would I sleep? How would I feed my children? What about all the little things we take for granted?
A care box from a local shelter changed everything for me. It wasn't just the toiletries and snacks—it was the note inside that said "You are brave. You are worthy. You are not alone."
That's why we do this work. Because sometimes the smallest gesture carries the biggest message: that someone sees you, someone cares, and someone believes in your ability to create a beautiful after.
